It is with a small measure of sadness and a good deal of excitement that we announce that General Alarm is under new management. After many years in the business, Lisa Prosser has decided to retire and to pursue her personal interests. To allow her to do so, she has brought in Mulhaupt’s to continue the tradition of a family owned and operated business.

Our goal is for this to be a seamless and unnoticeable transition, and in fact, we have already started. Your satisfaction with General Alarm is of great concern to us; your safety is of even more importance. The level of customer service and support that you expect and that you have received in the past must continue without degradation or interruption. Our goal is to remain your security service provider. To help accomplish these goals, most of the General Alarm employees have stayed with us. We continue to operate from the same General Alarm location, and we will even continue to operate and promote ourselves as General Alarm.

The company that has purchased General Alarm is Mulhaupt’s Inc. We are a 133 year-old Indiana based company. We have been providing security for our customers from the very beginning mechanical security through keys, locks and safes, doors, frames and hardware; electrical security with burglar and fire systems, and CCTV systems; and electro-mechanical security through integrated stand-alone and networked access control systems. We understand our customer’s security needs, meeting them on a daily basis.

We are also concerned about our customer expectations. A fifth-generation family business begun in 1876, we would not have been able to grow and succeed without meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations of us. It is our intention to continue that tradition with General Alarm.

Again, we want you to know that your business is important to us, and your security is even more so. As we move forward, there will undoubtedly be changes, but our goals of protecting lives and property, customer satisfaction, and excellent service will never change. We think that you will be pleased with our efforts.
