FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: As a leader in the reduction of FALSE DISPATCHES, General Alarm will be using an enhanced call verification process on ALL burglar alarm activations.
Indianapolis, IN - April 1, 2005 - As a leader in the reduction of FALSE DISPATCHES, our monitoring station Dispatchers will be using an enhanced call verification process on ALL burglar alarm activations effective April 1, 2005.
In addition to calling your home or business before requesting a dispatch, (our current procedure) if we are unsuccessful in reaching an authorized person on the first call, we will also place a call to a second phone number. The second phone number should be a number (such as the owner or managers cell phone) that would most likely be answered when the homeowner is away or the business is closed.
UNLESS you provide a specific second number, our Dispatchers will automatically use the first person on the emergency contact list as the second number to call.
We encourage you to specify exactly what second number you want our Dispatchers to call by listing it below.
