WHEREAS General Alarm was founded in 1964 by Sam Phillips, 

AND

WHEREAS General Alarm has faithfully provided for the security needs of Hoosiers for Forty Years, 

AND

WHEREAS General Alarm has persevered in the face of adversity shown steadfast integrity, fortitude and loyalty to customers and associates alike, 

AND

WHEREAS The Company has entered the TwentyFirst Century and now its fifth decade under the purposeful and steady guidance of Lisa Prosser, 

AND

WHEREAS For forty years all calls have been promptly and courteously handled by a friendly Hoosier neighbor, 

AND

WHEREAS The Company has always adhered to the principle enunciated by Edward Tuck when he advised “Always act with perfect confidence in the wisdom of doing right as the surest path to success”, 

BE IT HEREBY

RESOLVED That the City of Indianapolis and the State of Indiana recognize, applaud and appreciate these forty years of Hoosiers serving Hoosiers as General Alarm has been a valued partner of the Public Safety and Health professionals in our communities throughout that time. It is, therefore, with great pride and pleasure that I affirm, acknowledge, celebrate and proclaim this success and join with my colleagues in offering our sincere best wishes for its continuation.
